If you searched for OM Energy and landed here, here's the short version: we're a commercial renewable energy company headquartered in Temecula, California. We design, permit, install, and maintain solar, battery storage, and EV charging systems for businesses, and we stay with those systems for the long haul.
One quick note, because it comes up: OM Energy at omenergy.us is a U.S. company. We're not affiliated with OM Energy Solutions in the Netherlands or any other similarly named business.
What we do
We work on the commercial side of the market only. That means facilities with real loads, real utility bills, and real operational constraints. Our work covers four areas:
- Commercial solar on rooftops, carports, and ground mounts, including solar designed into new construction
- Battery storage for demand charge management, backup power, and getting more value out of solar under NEM 3.0
- EV charging for fleets, employees, and customers, sized to what your electrical panel can actually handle
- Operations and maintenance for systems we built and for systems other installers left behind
Who we work with
Most of our projects are with businesses where energy is a meaningful line item: warehouses and manufacturing, food processing and cold storage, dairies and agricultural operations, hospitals and clinics, hotels, multifamily and affordable housing, and developers and general contractors building new.
We work across California, with a lot of our activity in the Central Valley, Southern California, and the Inland Empire.
How we're different
The biggest thing we hear from facility owners is frustration with handoffs. One company sells the project, another designs it, a subcontractor installs it, and when something goes wrong two years later, nobody picks up the phone.
We built OM Energy to work the other way. Design, permitting, utility interconnection, installation, and ongoing support all sit with one team. Our owner has spent more than a decade in this industry, and that experience shapes how we scope projects: we'd rather tell you a system doesn't pencil out than sell you one that won't perform.
If you want to see what that looks like in practice, we've written about why one accountable team beats a pile of subcontractors and what a commercial solar project timeline looks like from first call to powering on.
Why this blog exists
Commercial solar decisions involve a lot of moving parts: tax credits, SGIP rebates, NEM 3.0, Title 24, financing structures, roof condition, interconnection queues. This blog is where we explain those things plainly, so you can walk into a conversation with any installer, including us, knowing the right questions to ask.
Talk with us
If you're weighing solar, storage, or EV charging for a facility, we're happy to take a look at your situation and tell you honestly what makes sense. Schedule a consultation or call us.
